Maisha, BSc graduate
Maisha was one of our most impressive students who had all the enthusiasm an aspiring Biomedical scientist needs. She joined with us in 2021 as a student completing her final year at university. After completing the course, Maisha went onto locum at Kingston NHS trust and then moved to a private laboratory in central London and completed her registration. As of 2023 she is a registered BMS working towards completing her Master’s degree.

Who Can Attend?
This course is ideal for all individuals wishing to learn practical skills in order to land their
first role in a histology laboratory. It mainly applies to the following:
Biomedcal Science graduates or similar degree paths.
Band 3 or 4 laboratory staff currently working in a laboratory.
Registered Biomedical scientists working in a different discipline.
Prerequisites
The course is designed for Biomedical Sciences graduates and therefore we require students to have either a bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences or a diploma to the same standard. We can also accept students from a science related degree but ask they are aware of prerequisites required to become a HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist.
Certification
Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a Biomed Lab Training certification, validating your expertise in Histology.
As of December 2023, we are in the process of becoming CPD registered.
