After graduating with a BSc in Biomedical Science, I quickly realised that having the academic knowledge wasn't always enough. Like many graduates, I found it difficult to secure a laboratory placement because employers were looking for practical experience as well as qualifications. That experience inspired me to create BioMed Lab Training. During the pandemic, I established a dedicated training laboratory where Biomedical Science graduates could gain hands-on experience, develop confidence with laboratory techniques, and understand how a real histology laboratory operates. Since then, we've helped aspiring Biomedical Scientists develop the practical skills employers are looking for. Many of our students have gone on to secure roles in NHS and private laboratories, while others have continued their education through postgraduate study. Our mission is simple: to bridge the gap between university education and professional laboratory practice, giving graduates the skills and confidence to take the next step in their careers.
